Schools Early Intervention Program
The NSW Outback Division of General Practice (ODGP) provides a comprehensive school based screening, assessment, referral and treatment program to improve access and support for children with learning and developmental difficulties. NSWODGP Speech Pathologists provide early childhood assessment and treatment services in the School setting. The Speech Pathologists have established links and referral/treatment pathways with other service providers, including General Practice, Far West Children’s Service, FACS, Pre-Schools, Public- Primary schools, and private allied health providers to provide a coordinated, integrative approach to identifying and supporting children with learning and developmental difficulties.
As part of the Schools early intervention program ODGP Speech Pathologists work with pre-school and early school age children to support their transition to school and development toward their full potential.
