Clinical Administration Support Officer (located in Bourke)

The NSW Outback Division of General Practice (NSW ODGP) is a health service provider working to improve the health of people living in the outback shires of Cobar, Bourke, Brewarrina, and Walgett. NSW ODGP currently has a full time Clinical Administration Support Officer vacancy in Bourke and is looking for an enthusiastic professional to join the organisation and contribute to our efforts to improve the health and wellbeing of people living in north western NSW.  The NSW ODGP manages a variety of health contracts focusing on early intervention, prevention of disease, chronic disease management and mental health support services.

Purpose of the Role

The Clinical Administration Support Officer role will directly work with the Corporate Team, Allied Health staff and will provide support to the Executive Management.

This position will provide quality administrative support to our clinical programs including responsibility for management of patient referrals, patient bookings, maintenance of clinical software and databases, liaison with General Practices in the region and record management. As part of the Corporate Services team you will report directly to the Contract Manager and will also undertake corporate functions including reception duties (mail/phone/fax/incoming & outgoing correspondence), asset and fleet management, maintenance of files and registers, assistance in database and correspondence management and quality improvement initiatives.

Highly attractive salary packages (based on Health Professional and Support Services Modern Award 2010 SS Level 5 - $53,352 to $65,208 plus leave loading and superannuation) will be paid according to qualifications and experience. MENTAL HEALTH NURSES

The Mental Health Nurse will work within the ODGP MHNIP program based upon an innovative, a successful model of care and collaborative service framework involving Local Health District Mental Health Services, General Practice and Aboriginal Health Community controlled services. The MHNIP positions will be working directly with General Practice led multidisciplinary teams in both mainstream GP and Aboriginal Medical Service settings as well as undertaking brief clinical placements with the Local Health District Mental Health services to strengthen the Stepped Model of Care.

SPEECH PATHOLOGIST

 

1 Full Time Position – Lightning Ridge NSW

 

The NSW ODGP has a vacancy for one full time Speech Pathologist (Level 1 to Level 4) based in Lightning Ridge NSW. 

0-8 early intervention caseload, providing assessment and intervention to children with feeding and communication needs including: speech, language, fluency, multi-modal communication, working in a variety of settings including: preschools, schools, GP clinics, home visits etc, provide outreach services to surrounding communities, work along-side other health professionals: OT etc.,

A salary will be negotiated with suitably qualified candidates in line with the Health Professional and Support Services Award 2010.

New grads will be considered and supported via clinical supervision and professional development opportunities.

TRAINEE ABORIGINAL ALLIED HEALTH ASSISTANT

 

1 Full Time Position – Bourke NSW

The successful candidate must be an Aboriginal person and willing to undertake the AAHA traineeship, which will take approximately 2 years part time to complete. The candidate will work closely with and be supported by a multidisciplinary team including Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, Dietitian and Podiatrist.
